Hi, I’m Edwin, the Music Reviewer!

I review songs and artist, big and small.

I am the owner and writer of Opiblo. As a music listener and fan, I am always on the lookout to listen to new music from up and coming artists all the way to those international, established stars in the music industry.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where Jibaro, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Reggaeton are massive genres of our culture. I later moved to Orlando, Florida, where I was introduced to American Pop, Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, and Jazz. Through my teenage years, I immersed myself in Alternative and Electronic music, expanding my taste of music and knowledge. One of my top 10 albums comes from Brazil (Carrapicho – Festa do Boi Bumbá – 1996), and I have started to listen to modern Russian and French pop and trap music, so my awareness of new and different music is ever growing!

In 2013 I started my music collection of CD’s and Vinyl, and since then have dabbled in lyric writing. I also know a little bit of piano and ukulele, so I am always learning the basics of music!

What I want to accomplish with this blog is to be able to help people discover new artists, songs, and projects from small artists to big ones. I want to be as detailed but not too technical with my writing so anyone can understand and share my reviews. As well as create discussions for the music that I review.

If you want to support Opiblo, you can do so by commenting on any blog post and follow our Instagram and YouTube pages!
